On September 26th and 27th, 2020, the 11th Member Representative Conference of the Chinese Society of World Ethnics and the World Ethnic Studies and Discipline Construction Seminar was held at Yunnan Agricultural University. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from more than 40 universities and scientific research institutions across the country conducted in-depth exchanges on the four themes of Community of a Shared Future for Mankind, BRI and Ethnic Studies, Ethnic Issues of European and American Countries and Immigration and Refugee Issues.

    During the conference, after a secret ballot, the 11th board of the society was elected. Professor Liu Zhongmin of the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University was elected as the vice president of the Chinese Society of World Ethnics.
