According to the Notice of Shanghai Municipal Press and Publication Bureau on Quality Inspection of Periodical Editing in 2019 issued in March 2020, Arab World Studies was rated as "Excellent" in the quality inspection of journals in Shanghai in 2019. Since the redesigning in 2016, the editorial department of Arab World Studies has strengthened its system construction, consolidated the foundation of the editorial team, strictly controlled all aspects of review and revision, and continuously improved the quality of journal editing. Arab World Studies aims to consolidate basic research, focus on hot issues, discover cutting-edge issues, and cultivate new academics. It encourages breaking disciplinary barriers and conducting interdisciplinary research on Middle East issues, providing scholars with innovative new ideas, new views, and new judgments, in order to provide an academic communication platform on Middle East studies.
