Dr. Bassam Abu Abdallah is Director of the Baath Party Central School of Syria. He participated in main political TV and Radio programs in Syria and abroad. He has been a column writer in Alwatan daily in Damascus since 2010, and has published many articles in Turkish daily Aydinlik, in Moscow, and in Iran.
Dr. Abu Abdallah visited China many times, and gave lectures at Chinese universities. He participated in many conferences related to the Middle East issues, locally, regionally, and internationally, including the international summit 2017(OBOR) in Beijing.

He chaired three departments (scientific research, cultural relations, and public relations) of the Ministry of Higher Education in Syria.
He served as a diplomat in the Syrian Embassy in Ankara-Turkey (2004-2008).
He worked at the Orient Center for Strategic Studies in Damascus (2008-2010).
He taught at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Damascus University and chaired Damascus Center for Strategic Studies (2010-2014).
