Farewell Ceremony for the Class of 2026 Successfully Held

On June 26, 2026, the Middle East Studies Institute (MESI) of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) held a farewell ceremony for its 2026 master’s and doctoral graduates at the Hongkou Campus. Deputy Directors Ding Long and Yu Yong, along with representatives of the faculty, attended the event alongside the graduates and graduate students from various academic years. The ceremony was hosted by Zhao Jing.

On behalf of the MESI, Deputy Directors Ding Long and Yu Yong extended their congratulations to the graduates, encouraging them to continue learning, build resilience, and remain engaged with the Institute’s development. Yu Yong conveyed the best wishes of Institute Director Ding Jun. Faculty members Liu Shengxiang, Niu Song, and others urged the graduates to stay true to their academic aspirations and move forward with optimism, emphasizing that the Institute will always be a safe haven for them.

The graduates shared their reflections on their academic journey and future plans, expressing sincere gratitude to their advisors and faculty for their guidance and support. Following the ceremony, representatives of the faculty presented the students with commemorative gifts and took group photos. The students wrote their reflections in the commemorative album and set off on their new journeys with hearts full of blessings.
