Abstract: It has been over ten years since the establishment of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in 2004. In the new era, China-Arab cooperation is based on historical, economic and geo-political links. The first is the traditional and cultural ties, i.e. their shared knowledge of the “Ancient Silk Road”; the second is the modern market principles of winwin trade and investment; and the third is strategic and security interests of both sides.
