BIO

Jun Zhao is an associate professor of the Middle East Studies Institute (MESI) of Shanghai International Studies University. Prior to joining MESI in 2016, he served as a post-doctoral researcher at the History Department of East China Normal University.  In addition to his academic work, he often teaches Middle Eastern studies, World Economics and Politics at other Universities. In 2012, Zhao Jun received his Ph.D. in International Relations from Shanghai International Studies University. Now he works as a full-time researcher and a part-time editor-in-charge of Arab World Studies.

He is the co-author of two books on the Middle East and author or co-author of 20 academic research papers.
