INTRODUCTION
The book is divided into two parts. The first part is security theory, including Western traditional security theory, Western non-traditional security studies, Western realist security theory, Western liberal security theory, and a comprehensive analysis and commentary on national security concepts, especially the new security concept. The second part covers national political institutions and national security institutions, including the relationship between political institutions and national security institutions in the United States, Russia, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, and Israel, i.e., the place of national security institutions in the political institutions of these countries, and the influence of political institutional factors on their national security decision-making systems.
AUTHOR
Liu Shengxiang, male, born in November 1962, is a native of Xiaogan, Hubei. He is a professor at the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University (a key research base of the Ministry of Education), a supervisor of international relations (diplomacy, international politics, international relations, international law), and a postdoctoral research supervisor of international relations theory and practice. He is the executive director of the National Association for the Study of International Politics in Universities, the executive director of the Asia Pacific Society of China, the director of the Chinese Society of International Relations, and the director of the Middle East Society of China. He has published more than 60 papers, published many books and textbooks, and is the chief expert of the major research project of the Ministry of Education - Research on the Institutional Mechanism of Security of Major Countries in the World. -He is also the chief expert of the National Social Science Foundation of China.
