Speaker Introduction: Gafar K. Ahmed, a renowned Sudanese expert on China, former Sudanese Ambassador to China, Honorary Advisor to the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, and Guest Researcher at the China-Arab Center for Reform and Development Studies. He has long been concerned with the history and current situation of Sino-Arab relations, and is familiar with Middle East affairs. He is the author of several books, including The Role of Omanis in Civilizing China and Exploring the Sources of Sultan-China Relations Across 2,000 Years.
