On February 15, 2023, a meeting between Iranian President Leahy and Chinese scholars was held in Beijing, jointly organized by the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and the Iranian Embassy in Beijing. Iranian President Leahy, who is on a state visit to China, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech on issues of interest to Chinese scholars, elaborating on Iran's policies and positions on developing relations with China, building One Belt, One Road and building a multi-level world. The conference was hosted by Xu Bu, President of the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and Keshavarzadeh, Iranian Ambassador to China, and attended by Iranian Foreign Minister Abdollahian and other members of the Iranian delegation to China, as well as Chinese Ambassador to Iran Chang Hua. More than ten scholars from domestic universities and research institutions attended the conference, and Professor Ding Long from the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University was invited to participate in the conference.
