On January 13, 2023, a new book launch and academic symposium on 'Regional Country Studies Discipline Construction and Theory Innovation' sponsored by Beijing Language and Culture University and Social Science Literature Press was held at Social Science Literature Press. Leaders from the Department of International Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Beijing Language and Culture University, University of International Business and Economics, Foreign Affairs Institute, and Social Sciences Literature Press attended and delivered speeches. More than 20 scholars from universities and research institutions attended the seminar entitled 'Regional Country Studies: From Practice to Practice'. Professor Ding Long from the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University was invited to attend the seminar and gave a speech entitled The Path of Regional Country Studies Discipline Construction.

The book 'Regional Country Studies Discipline Construction and Theoretical Innovation', edited by Professor Luo Lin, Director of the Secretariat of Country and Regional Studies of Universities, focuses on the construction of China's regional country studies discipline system, academic system and discourse system after regional country studies has become a new interdisciplinary discipline, exploring the mode of cultivating talents for regional country studies, and enhancing the awareness and ability to serve the country and society.
