On December 22, 2022, the 13th International Political Economy Forum 'Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative', organized by the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of International Relations, and hosted by the Secretariat of the National Global Strategy Think Tank of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Economics and Finance of the School of International Relations, and the School of International Political Economy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was held online. The 13th International Political Economy Forum 'Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative: Theoretical Logic and Practical Basis' was held online.
Nearly 40 scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Institute of International Relations, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai International Studies University and other domestic universities and research institutions attended the symposium. Zhang Yuan, a researcher from the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, was invited to give a speech on the topic of 'Anti-external interference cooperation between China and Arab countries in safeguarding core national interests in the new era'.
