On December 15, 2022, a seminar on 'China-Arab Destiny Community Building and the Responsibility of Media Think Tanks' was held online, organized by the China Foreign Affairs Bureau (CFAB) and hosted by CFAB's Western Europe and Africa Communication Center (China Today Magazine), China.com and Egypt's Hikmet Culture and Media Group. Mr. Gao Anming, Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief of China Foreign Affairs Bureau, Mr. Ahmed Said, President of Hikmet Culture and Media Group, and Mr. Wu Sike, former Chinese Special Envoy to the Middle East, attended the conference and delivered speeches. More than 50 experts and scholars from media and think tanks of China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Morocco, Lebanon and other countries attended the conference. The conference focused on the outcomes of the first China-Arab Summit and how media think tanks can contribute to building a Sino-Arab community of destiny for the new era. Professor Ding Jun, Director of the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, was invited to attend the conference and delivered an academic speech entitled 'The Dynamics, Resistance and the Role of Media Think Tanks in China-Arab Humanities Exchange and People-to-people Contact'.
