On December 12, 2022, a seminar on 'China-Arab Summit and the Annual Situation in the Middle East' was held by Shanghai Institute of International Studies (SIIS) in an online and offline manner. More than ten scholars from SIIS, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai International Studies University and other universities and research institutions discussed the outcomes of the first Sino-Arab Summit and the annual situation in the Middle East.

Prof. Liu Zhongmin and Prof. Ding Long from the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University were invited to attend the conference and made academic speeches entitled 'Review of the Middle East Situation in 2022' and 'Significance and Achievements of the Sino-Arab Summit' respectively.
