Abstract:On March 20, 2003, under the pretext that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, the United States brazenly invaded Iraq without the authorization of the UN Security Council. The war plunged Iraq into a deep disaster, and the wounds remain unhealed to this day. At the same time, the largest local war of the 21st century not only changed Iraq, but also brought a huge impact on the Middle East region and the world landscape. It was an extremely controversial war, and 20 years later, the debates and reflections still continue.
