Abstract：The conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran is deep-rooted. It is not only a structural conflict in Middle East politics, but also carries more than a thousand years of historical feud between the Arab and Persian nations and Sunni and Shiite Islam. Understanding the historical warp and woof of the Saudi-Iranian conflict will help us understand the historical and practical significance of the Saudi-Iranian reconciliation.
