INTRODUCTION

The year 2021 marks the tenth anniversary of the outbreak of the great turmoil in the Middle East and the twentieth anniversary of September 11, and the regional situation is undergoing profound changes. There are positive signs of détente in the relations among Middle Eastern countries, especially among the regional powers, but the transition difficulties of the countries in the Middle East since the Arab Spring and the overlapping crisis of the new pneumonia epidemic make the development difficulties of most Middle Eastern countries still very serious in 2021. The Middle East is still chaotic, but it is changing. 10 years of reflection and exploration have brought new hope, and it is becoming the consensus of all parties to seek autonomy, seek stable development, and strive to walk their own path. It is also a year for the Middle East countries to deepen their understanding of the achievements of the CPC and its experience in governing the country. In the face of a century of dramatic changes, the epidemic of the century and the U.S. strategic contraction, the Middle East will continue to undergo profound changes in 2022, but uncertain and unpredictable factors still exist.
