Editorial Board Workshop of Asian Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies was Held

 On September 16, the Editorial Board Workshop of Asian Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies was held at the Middle East Studies Institute, Shanghai International Studies University. It marks the first meeting of the Editorial Board after the journal was published by international well-known publisher Routledge in early 2018.

 Editorial Board members, Professor Liu Zhongmin, director of the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai Internaitonal Studies University, Michael Willis, professor of the Middle East Center, St. Antony’s College of University of Oxford, Tugrul Keskin, professor and director of the Center for Global Governance at Shanghai Uniersity, Yahia Zoubia, professor and director of Research in Geopolitics at Kedge Business School of France, and Professor Wang Bo, Ding Jun and Liu Shengxiang from the Middle East Studies Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, as well as two editor-in-chiefs Professor Sun Degang from the Middle East Studies Institute and Professor Tim Niblock from Exeter University attended the workshop. Professor Niu Song and Dr. Shu Meng from the editorial department of the journal have also joined the discussion.

 Editor-in-chief Sun Degang chaired the workshop. Editorial board members and editors carried out frank discussions on the development and transition of the journal. In June 2018, Asian Journal of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies has been listed as the demonstration project of the internationalization program of Shanghai International Studies University. The Editorial Board Workshop will play an important role in promoting the internalization and future development of the journal.
