Speaker Introduction:

Wu Yihong is the Former Director, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East Branch of Xinhua News Agency. He has been based in Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and other countries, experienced the Iran-Iraq War, the Gulf War and the Iraq War, and has organized and participated in the coverage of major international emergencies for many times, and has conducted special interviews with the leaders of Egypt, Turkey and other countries. Currently, he is the director of the Think Tank Council of the Middle East Institute of Shanghai International Studies University, the executive director of the Middle East Society of China, a senior researcher of the Taihe Think Tank, and an adjunct professor of the Zhou Enlai School of Government and Management of Nankai University. He has been following the development of the Middle East region for many years, and has done in-depth research in the related fields.
