On October 13-14, 2018, the international conference with the theme “Turkey and Its Neighboring World: Past and Present” International Conference”, co-organized by China Middle East Society, College of History and Culture, Turkish  Studies Center and the “Belt and Road” Cultural institute of Shaanxi Normal     University, was held in Shaanxi Normal University. More than 70 experts, scholars and diplomats from dozens of research institutes at home and abroad joined the discussions on topics including Turkish internal affairs and diplomacy, Turkish relationship with China and the West, as well as Turkish and the neighboring world.

Associate researchers Bao Chengzhang, Qian Xuming and Zou Zhiqaing from the Middle East Studies     Institute (MESI) of Shanghai International Studies University attended the conference and deliveryied academic speeches during the conference.
