On October 30, 2024, President Cai Hongxing of Yanbian University and his delegation visited the Middle East Studies Institute (MESI) of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). Jiang Xinyu, Director of the Office of the President of the SISU, Prof. Ding Jun, Director of the MESI of SISU, Yu Yong, Deputy Director of the MESI, and researchers Wang Bo, Niu Song, Ding Long, were present at the exchanges and seminars.

Director Ding Jun welcomed the visit of President Cai Hongxing and his delegation, and briefly introduced the development history, academic research and team building of the MESI in general. Deputy Director Yu Yong introduced to the guests about the construction of the MESI's base community, think tank construction and media communication.

President Cai Hongxing made an introduction to the current situation of Yanbian University and the construction of talent team. Afterwards, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the construction of think tanks, domestic and international exchanges, book publishing and database construction.

Finally, Director Ding Jun thanked President Cai Hongxing and his delegation again for their visit and research, and looked forward to the two sides to strengthen the joint exploration and practice in related fields and deepen the cooperation in the future.
