Speaker Introduction:

As'ad Ghanem is a professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Haifa, where his research focuses on the intersection of political science and sociology, with a particular specialization in the analysis of the dynamics of nationalism, ethnic conflict, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. He has been influential in the study of identity politics and political behavior in Arab societies. His representative works include Palestinians in Israel: The Politics of Faith after Oslo (2018), Israel in the Post Oslo Era: Prospects for conflict and reconciliation with the Palestinians (2019) and The Continuing Gaza Conflict (2025).
