Speaker Introduction:

Professor Roberto Tottoli is the Rector of the Istituto Universitario Orientale di NAPOL, Italy, and specializes in the field of Islamic Studies, with particular expertise in the study of the biblical prophets in Islam, Islamic literature, and modern editions and translations of the Qur'an. He has been influential in the history of Islamic civilization and in research related to Islam in the West. he received his B.A. in Oriental Languages and Literature from the University of Cavuscagli, Venice, in 1988, and his Ph.D. from the Istituto Universitario Orientale di NAPOL in 1996. He has visited and taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Princeton University, Harvard University, and the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris.
